i'm back from melbourne... was there frm 5th - 17th july... for AIESEC conference as well as to have to some fun.. its my first time in Melbourne
i was really nervous/anxious waiting for my results... but thank god everything is okay. (i've got 2 credits and 1 pass)
I had fun in Melb, thanks to Wii.. LoL.. jk jk.. I think that its really comfy to have a group of people/friends that you can just be crazy and have a big laughter. I haven't had that before in adelaide with the people here. It feels really good, when I went out with cw n gf, joseph n gf and my "gf", jack... I enjoyed their company, a lot.
i've tried muDShake, which is vodka + chocolate drink... which to me, taste just like chocolate milk, but cheaper by a few cents.. lol
i think the transportation in melb is better only because it is more frequent..
anyways, i learnt alot about AIESEC and myself during the conference. for e.g. I like to dance... like those line dances that we have in the conference, but not those clubbing dance.. I've danced to most of the energiser dance during the con whilst only join in to 'shake my booty' for a few minutes during the party hour.
I've learnt that MC is something i really want to be part of, though I'm not sure if I could, I will definitely apply for it.
I know that I still need to improve a lot on my communication, selling skills (Ideally I should practice everynight, maybe I will after I m not so sick.. :P )
I think the Skolling was one of the best time in Melbourne. We were all chanting and yelling "A-U , AU AU AU, A-U, A-U" I lost my voice that nice.. but it was fun. The atmosphere was incredible. 200+ people gathering at some suburb pub in the middle of nowhere at some less than 10 degrees late at night.... it was something memorable. We were so close to coming first, but sometimes its just bad luck. I wonder how it would be w/o Karo.. lol. She borrowed me her scarf which I did not buy ($12 for something too plain and that I might not use unless I travel to somewhere which is in winter is not worth it)
I've met alot of people. Like Heidi who is a Malaysian that lives in Singapore for most parts of her life, can't speak malay and not sure whether she wants to stay or go back to SE Asia. But I reckon she would be staying seeing how she is doing Law as well...
I've met Try (pronounced as Tree) , who I can say is one of the guys that I like to see again. Doubt that'll happen unless I go to WANCON this year...
I like to come back again for July Con 08, just because I want to see Anne's, Chloe's and Kate's MC Farewell speech, plus meeting up with the AU guys again. wud be awesome. but will see hw. need $$$.
Took the bus home on 17th. met up with everyone, Soo Ching, Hui Ling, Joanne. wrote a thank you note for Jack. Spent both CCW and Jack on cheap meals as gesture of thank you.
I walked around the city for the whole day, from 12 - 5ish i think... Walked frm Cw's house to Melb Museum/IMAX - City (Lunch) - Fitzroy Garden - Federation Sq. (Pixar) - home
at 3am wednesday morning, i soooo could have been left out in the middle of nowhere. the bus stopped, i went down to the shop and see wats there. i came out. saw the bus leaving. fuck fuk fuck! ran. knocked the bus. thank gawd. sat down. smiled. thought of what i would do it i did get stuck.... smiled that it was an experience.
things i rmb on the bus, beautiful stars up in the sky. really sweet. each star = 1 planet. I can't wait till the day when we have habitat on both moon n mars... ;)
