Venice Beach

I found out about this place when I googled things you must do in LA. Venice beach, when u hear the name, it sounds classy (Italy.. Venice, expensive stuff) u know.. But then the LA Venice Beach... its more of something similar to Petaling Street shop style~ but instead of crowding up in one designated short street, the shops here are spread out along the beach...

Some of the grafittis here... looks kinda neat.~

Hehe, Aussie BBQ

Playing piano under the hot sun at the beach

I bought a magnet, and thats pretty much it. The shops here are mostly on artwork, tattoos, shirts, souvenirs, food and performances. One which was really interesting was the weird house.. those that you pay to enter to see some weird shit... Turtle with two heads.. lol

You can also see alot of people doing some running/exercise along the path. A sight you probably won't see in KL. 1) Malaysians will not do any sort of exercise unde r the burning sun 2) Malaysian beaches are most likely to be polluted, not a place to do exercise. lol

One thing about Americans is that their skin is kinda unhealthy, with alot of those marks and dots.... due to the hot sun.

Photos of LA Zoo April 27

LoL, all my posts are like super delayed now, even though I am not doing alot everyday. :P Anyway... it was a day after Flower Fields, my my, the weather... super hot! And we reached there about 11 or so... BURN! (I never spent my summer in Aussie before so I don't know which one is hotter... ;P) Anyway, I saw most of the animals I wanted... those I haven't see before which I saw here are like camel, komodo dragon, that weird long white haired ape, and those yaks/deers/antelopes.. lol..

Me @ the entrance. It's really big. Good workout! :D

This is the weird long white haired ape I was talking about!

Scary animals, Black bear and hippos. Man killers! (Man vs. Wild) Love that show! Will borrow it from CCW when I go back to KL. It's a documentary about survival tips if you were lost in say... middle of the mountains or the Savannah... (If no fresh water, get it from the fresh elephant dunk, squeeze it!.. lol)

Zebras can kick ass with their legs... komodo looks lazy but can run and accelerate like a mad cow!

Koalas.. hmm I recall seeing them before.. somewhere...

The trip was fun, but of course, would have been better if not for the heat. Not all of the places are enjoyable too, I mean, I would have preferred to see some of the animals not behind a cage, but maybe plastic/glass wall or something (for photo purposes). There were some nice beautiful animals but cos of the cage, its kinda a lousy photo.

Hehe, somehow talking about this cage thing reminds me of Cleland, which are mostly metal-cageless.

So many posts to go!!

Flower Field - April 26

So, during the first weekend, big sis wanted to take me to Disneyland. I spent the night before planning and organizing the rides so that we can actually maximized the number of rides we get on. Unfortunately, that didn't happened as something came up about the ticket... so they took me to somewhere else instead. ''Go see flowers"

The place is somewhere heading towards to San Diego. We stopped by at this European/German restaurant for brunch. I've been here before last time around when my sis took me to San Diego Wildlife Park. I still rmb I had the sausages, which were really good!! "

This time around, I had a go at some roast pork, which is VERY FILLING. I only managed to finish half of the plate.... but its quite good, maybe cause of the sauce (I don't really like roast stuffs -- that taste abit jelak for me.. ) I prefer the sausages... hehe..

Beef Barley Soup... kinda weird when I thought about it. Barley in a savoury soup... but it tasted pretty good to me.. Something new for myself. Must try someday.. barley in .. say, mushroom soup? lol (One thing nice about cooking yourself is that you don't have to pay attention to any norms)

I think its really nice, but the entrance fee is just too much just to see them... esp on that sunny burning day! The flowers are really colourful and bright... and it looks like the rows never ends. I think maybe a mile, at least. A really sweet place.. there is even a mini sweet pea maze to play around.... I never thought that I could get lost in that maze... but I did!! LoL.. the wall/fence wasn't even over my height and I could see the other side... just so strange.... or maybe its just me :P

Lego flowers, creative but not beautiful

Afterwards we went shopping at an outlet mall. Bought a red GAP cap. Almost bought a GAP jacket for $30, but didn't cos' I know I wont' be using it much. Looks great though.... Haha and I saw this Coach shop, all the gals are rushing in and out. I saw from outside, the sale sign.. price tag was $249!

mini-update

Sigh, wanted to blog about my trips i been ... but after organizing and chatting, kinda lazy, so i'll do a short update...

So far, I've been using my new Vostro 1500 that my sis bought. Its a lappie, I called it Ditto.. its in Vista, still playing around with it. Keyboard is abit noisy but its okay, i like the way it types... heh..

watched supernatural s3, heroes s2, and weeds s1. recommend Weeds to anyone, just for the sake of watching the mum... lol Mary Louise Parker, an older lookalike of Kate Beckinsale.

Nanc'.. thats the way we should call Nancy, to make her look hotter.. but lol.. Nan suits her .

gonna watch the s2 n s3 of Weeds before i go back.

also! I bought my tickets to Boston and back from NY!

Can't wait! this is going to be good. get to finally see minli n nick for the first time since they left KL. lol... was supposed to see Calvin too but decided that to pay USD200+ just to see his face, is totally not worth it. so.... LoL

Also! I went to Disneytown yesterday! :D Watched Iron Man with Alan (Big sis didnt come along cos she had to take care of Brandon) which is Freaking awesome! What I like about the story is that is feels so real and realistic. Theres nothing supernatural about him, just super gadgets (which is not supernatural). The visual effect is awesome and looking at his armor that is so classy and shiny. Its really one of the best Marvel productions I've watched. Too bad, Alan said that they are not planning to make part two.

I think I got into the hyped late last night and googled on Iron Man. In the comics, down the road he went to the space, to some planet and after some transmutation, the armor merged which is body, allowing him to use his brain to activate his armor whenever... lol HOW COOL IS THAT?!? LoL...

The movie is also really good cos of Pepper.. lol I like Paltrow. one of my fav actress. others would include.. scarlett! lol n kiera...

as for the guys, my favs are ewan and josh hartnett.

anyways, WATCH IRON MAN IN THE CINEMA GUYS!

morning power Qs
